New Stephen Hawking book denies God

"A mind that engages in serious scientific exploration about life and the origins of should be held in a higher regard than those who provide answers to the same questions based on a book from Iron and Bronze Ages. Sitting in a cave and contemplating the cosmos will not bring one to a deeper understanding of creation. Certainly, these spiritual and mystic endeavors should not be given the intellectual credit as those of someone like Stephen Hawking."

Search Engines

"Honestly, any search engines besides Google, Yahoo, or MSN is simply a waste of time; easily 90% of searches done on the net are at one of these services. " - a forum poster named robertb on associateprograms.com

Google Adsense Ads have Started Scrolling!

I just was amazed to discover that Google has very cleverly altered the way Adsense Ads are displayed. The two scroll buttons after "Ads by Google" suddenly started doing a magic. Visitors (if interested of course) can now click on these little buttons to see multiple (five sets or maybe more) set of related Ads.

Once again Google proves they are on track of the constant innovation - thumbs up to Google!

Google Indexed my Page within a few Minutes

This morning I posted one of my blog entries a few minutes ago. With my utter surprise I discovered that Google has already indexed it. That is something I always dreamed of and everybody probably too, but remained a challenge technologically for so long.

Has Google been able to overcome that hurdle. Well, time will tell. But a real time index capability is an ideal requirement for a search engine of 21st century, and Google obviously have that potential.

(Can we also dare to dream of real time view of Planet Earth using Google Earth. I am feeling like intruding into the deep of Amazon rain forest to observe what events are taking place there lately :)

The Web is more a Social Creation than a Technical one

Tim Berners-Lee summed up the purpose of creation of the internet:

Quote:

The web is more a social creation than a technical one. I designed it for a social effect — to help people work together — and not as a technical toy. The ultimate goal of the Web is to support and improve our weblike existence in the world. We clump into families, associations, and companies. We develop trust across the miles and distrust around the corner.
